Stephen J. Gimbl — Steve — passed peacefully on June 14, 2026, at the age of 86. Born in Queens, NY, he dedicated his life to family, career, and community, rising over a 37-year career from entry-level banking at Morgan Guaranty Trust to Senior Vice President at JP Morgan Chase.
He served his country honorably as a lieutenant in the Army, was a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus, and brought warmth, loyalty, and steadfast faith to everything he touched. He is survived by his brother Charles, his sister Linda, and a large and loving extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Steve's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
